2025 National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week Events Oct. 19-25

Mon., Oct. 20, 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.—Lead Awareness for Health & Early Childhood Providers, Children's Foundation Research Institute's Chesney Auditorium, 50 N. Dunlap Street, Memphis TN. State and local experts will present on the health effects of lead on children in Shelby County. Register for this for this event.

Tues., Oct. 21, 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.—Lead Awareness Lunch & Learn for Nonprofit Housing and Faith-Based Organizations, Orange Mound Library, 843 Dallas St, Memphis, TN. Presenters will be from Shelby County Housing and Memphis Shelby County Lead Safe Collaborative.

Fri., Oct. 24, 4:00-6:00 p.m.—Fight Lead with a Healthy Diet, Black Seeds Urban Farm, 580 N. 4th Street. Join us for cooking demos and other fun activities for children and adults.

Sat., Oct. 25, 11:00-1:00 p.m.—At MMDC Health Day in Medical District Park, at Madison Ave. and S. Dunlap Street, Memphis, TN 38103. Memphis Lead Coalition booth and displays with lots of free information and give aways.
